BSG employees kicked off their season of giving by supporting two San Antonio charities that provide transitional housing and support services for victims of abuse. Employees conducted a month-long drive for donations, collecting children’s bedding, books, clothes and toys that were given to Family Violence Prevention Services, Inc. (FVPS) and St. Peter-St. Joseph Children’s Home (St. PJ’s).  Together, these organizations care for vulnerable populations across the city, serving thousands of women and children annually.

“We thank BSG and all of its employees for their generous donations this year,” said FVPS president Marta B. Peláez. “Their support will help the many women and children who will seek safety this season from domestic abuse, and will enable us to work towards long-term change in the lives of these families.”

“Companies like BSG make giving a priority in the workplace,” said James Castro, executive director of St. PJ’s. “Their support demonstrates a true commitment to the children of our community and brings holiday cheer to young boys and girls who need it most.”

This is the 18th consecutive year in which BSG has embarked on an employee giving project that supports local San Antonio charities. With nearly 100 employees, BSG is committed to improving the quality of life within its community, fostering employee growth through volunteerism. The company takes an active role in supporting several non-profits dedicated to disaster response, transitional housing, and the eradication of homelessness and hunger in the community.

"BSG recognizes the need to help support our community, and to encourage employees to give back,” said Melissa Mitchell, Director of National Accounts for BSG and leader of this year’s holiday giving project. “We are proud to support these two vital organizations, which are meeting critical demands of so many women and children across our city.”
